New embassy headquarters in Netherlands inaugurated

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited and cut the ribbon to inaugurate the new headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands on July 9 in The Hague as part of his visit to the Netherlands.

Speaking at the event, the PM hailed the relationship between the two nations, announcing that his visit is aimed at deepening the Strategic Partnership in climate change adaption and water management and the Strategic Partnership on sustainable agriculture and food security and calling on more Duth businesses to invest in Viet Nam.

He expected to apply new Dutch technology into the agricultural sector in Viet Nam to improve production, asking 1,200 Vietnamese students in the Netherlands to contribute to the nation’s science and technology development.

He affirmed that the Party and State have paid attention to facilitating the Embassy's good operation, asking the Embassy staff effectively to launch contents of the two Agreements on Strategic Partnerships to enhance the two nations’ relationship.

The Embassy needs to encourage investment and technology transfer from the Netherlands to Viet Nam, take full advantage of the Dutch financial resources and professionals to serve Viet Nam’s industrialization and modernization process, realize citizen protection works and actively support Overseas Vietnamese in the Netherlands to integrate into the host community.

He proposed the Vietnamese in the Netherlands uphold their active role to connect the Dutch businesses with the homeland and advertise Viet Nam’s land, culture and people in the host country.
