PM meets Presidents of China, U.S. in Germany
On behalf of State President Tran Dai Quang, PM Phuc invited the Indonesian President to the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week scheduled in November in Da Nang City.
The Vietnamese Government chief extended thanks to Indonesia for releasing 695 Vietnamese fishermen.
He suggested the two countries continue pushing for early completion of talks on exclusive economic zone demarcation.
Indonesian President Widodo affirmed he will attend the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week and pledged to support Viet Nam to ensure success of the APEC Year 2017.
President Widodo also expressed his hope that both countries would accelerate talks to soon complete exclusive economic zone demarcation process.

Expressing his delight to meet Indian PM Narendra Modi again, PM Phuc asked the Indian side to facilitate import of Vietnamese goods in a bid to raise the two-way trade value to US$15 billion by 2020.
PM Phuc affirmed the Vietnamese Government is ready to create more favorable conditions for Indian investors to do business in Viet Nam.
He also affirmed Viet Nam supports India’s Act East Policy and continues efforts to further enhance ASEAN-India strategic partnership.
Meanwhile, PM Modi said he attaches importance to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with Viet Nam.
He agreed both sides should enhance delegation exchange on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties and 10th anniversary of the Viet Nam-India strategic partnership.
PM Modi also highly valed the role of Viet Nam as the coordinator of the ASEAN-India relations, affirming Viet Nam is an important pillar of his country’s Act East Policy.

Meeting with Presidents of the EU Commission and EU Council, PM Phuc asked the EU to complete legal procedures to sign the Viet Nam-EU free trade agreement soon and provide technical assistance for Viet Nam to implement the agreement.
Both sides agreed to further boost their partnership and comprehensive cooperation and maintain regular delegation exchanges, especially high-level delegations.
He also asked the EU to develop concrete projects and programs to help Viet Nam implement commitments to the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change.
The two Presidents stressed that the EU attaches great importance to fostering ties with Viet Nam, considering Viet Nam as a responsible partner in the current global context, highly valuing Viet Nam’s role in Southeast.
Regarding the East Sea issue, the leaders of Indonesia, India, and the EU shared Viet Nam’s position on the importance of maintaining peace, stability, security, safety and freedom of navigation and aviation in the East Sea and settling disputes through peaceful measures on the basis of international law, including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.

PM Phuc extended congratulations to Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on his election as the Director-General of the World Health Organization.
Highlighting Viet Nam’s healthcare achievements, the Government chief expects stronger ties with the World Health Organization to realize the UN-led sustainable development goals.
Dr. Tedros said Viet Nam is an example of success story in healthcare./.
