PM pays tribute to late Cuban President

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Monday came to the Cuban Embassy in Ha Noi to lay a wreath and pay tribute to late Cuban President Fidel Castro Ruz.

The PM wrote in a funeral book: “We are deeply touched and mournful of the passing of comrade Fidel Castro Ruz, the historic and legendary leader of Cuba, the resilient and courageous leader of  the international communist and worker movements.

On behalf of the Government and people of Viet Nam, we conveyed the deepest condolence to the Government and people of Cuba, and the family of comrade Fidel.

His life and career represents a noble symbol of the resilient and courageous spirit in favor of independence and freedom for the Cuban Fatherland, the national liberation movement, the fight against empire, race discrimination in the interest of peace as well as justice in the world.

For Vietnamese people, comrade Fidel is a close and faithful friend and made great contributions to building, nurturing, and developing the special, comprehensively cooperative, and wholly faithful brotherhood between Viet Nam and Cuba."

On behalf of the Cuban Government and people, Ambassador Herminio López Díaz  expressed his gratitude to the Party, State, Government, and people of Viet Nam for their sentiments towards late Cuban President Fidel Castro./.
