The Vietnamese government leader warmly congratulated PM Sisoulith on the significant accomplishments Laos has achieved in domestic and foreign affairs so far this year.
The Lao leader congratulated Viet Nam on the country’s achievements in terms of socio-economic development and foreign affairs over the past years, expressing his pleasure at the rapid and effective developments in Laos-Viet Nam relations, particularly in the fields of economics, trade, investment, energy and transport.
PM Sisoulith appreciated the significance of the official friendly visit to Laos made by Vietnamese General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong from November 24-26, which he said, will bring the traditional friendly relations, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos to a new level.
Both sides agreed to continue enhancing the exchange of high-level delegations and meetings; focus on successfully executing the cooperation agreement between the two governments in 2016, in order to create favorable conditions for the implementation of the Viet Nam-Laos bilateral cooperation agreement for the 2016-2020 period; and well prepare for the 39th meeting of the Viet Nam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee, aiming to promote comprehensive cooperation and deploy specific projects for the benefits of both countries.
