Germany is a crucial partner of Viet Nam in such areas as vocational training, education, culture, tourism, justice, science and technology.

From July 7-8, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc will attend the 2017 G20 Hamburg summit themed "Shaping an Interconnected World", which focuses on building self-reliance, improving sustainability and assuming responsibility.

Accordingly, G20 nations will discuss measures to enhance and maintain the world’s economic growth, heading to establish a self-reliant, sustainable and overall global economy, climate change and energy issues, enhancement of priority on effective energy use, renewable energy and non-carbon economy.

As the host of the APEC 2017, Viet Nam is invited to attend related meetings of the G20 summit, join discussions at meetings of the summit and give comments on the summit’s draft Declaration.

The PM’s visit to Germany and joining the G20 summit aims to actualize the foreign policy of openness, diversification, multilateralisation of international relations, active international integration and raising the prestige and status of Viet Nam.
