PM Phuc welcomed the guest's visit and expressed his pleasure at the fine development in the Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic partnership. So far, economic cooperation has developed positively. Viet Nam, said PM Phuc, always gives priority to and respect for the friendly neighborliness with China.
He praised the outcomes of talks between the Chinese guest and Vietnamese Minister of National Defence Ngo Xuan Lich and hailed the establishment and comprehensive implementation of the statement on joint vision on defense cooperation until 2025.
Mr. Phuc asserted that the armies of the two countries have managed, preserved, stabilized, and facilitated economic development in border areas. Naval and maritime patrol forces maintained reciprocal visits and joint exercises on search and rescue and patrol in the Gulf of Tokin.
He emphasized that amidst complicated international situation, it is necessary for Viet Nam and China to beef up cooperation and be cautious of plots which split the relations between the two Parties and States.
The Government chief suggested the Chinese PRC Central Military Commission, the two Defence Ministries to uphold their tradition to bolster cooperation in a practical manner and create favorable ways to settle remaining issues between the two countries especially the maritime issues. The two countries should strive for the peaceful and friendly East Sea and effectively enforce the
Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC) and early adopt the code of conduct (COC) in the East Sea.
In reply, Vice Chairman Fan Changlong revealed that via the visit, the Chinese delegation hoped to continue implementing the important perceptions of Vietnamese and Chinese senior leaders and promote the bilateral ties in a multifaceted manner.
Senior Lieutenant General Fan Changlong was delighted to brief the host leader about the successful outcomes in the recent talks with Mr. Lich in which the two sides exchanges numerous measures to cement and deepen comprehensive linkages among the two armies.
The guest leader expressed his good impression during the first visit to Viet Nam, affirming that China stands ready to work with Viet Nam to implement the “One belt – one road” initiative and the development planning “two corridors – one belt.” He was convinced that regular visits of Vietn
Finally, Fan Changlong asserted that under the leadership of the two Parties, the ties between the two armies have been flourishing. He also acknowledged the necessity to early perfect the framework of COC and figure out basic solutions to disputes./.
