Gov’t releases Resolution on August session

VGP – The Government has asked ministries, agencies and localities to launch effective and consistent measures to achieve visible changes in economic growth in the last months of the year in its Resolution on August session.
Ministries, agencies and localities are required to resolutely implement administrative procedure reform, enhance explanation accountability of administrative bodies and the heads and establish channels to listen to comments from people and businesses.

Heads of ministries and agencies must take measures to ensure growths for their sectors, tackle difficulties and deal with obstacles, speed up equitization and State capital divestment, list shares on the stock market before State capital divestment and ensure an open and transparent market mechanism.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment carries out its functions as monitoring the joint policies of the Government. The State Bank of Viet Nam continues to monitor the monetary policy flexibly, control inflation and stabilize the value of Vietnamese Dong.

The Ministry of Finance resolutely directs to prevent loses and tax debts, increase State revenue, evaluate preferential policies on tax and coordinate with other ministries to accelerate the progress of investment capital.

The Government demands the Ministry of Industry and Trade take measures to promote industry growth, enhance trade promotion, expand export market and guarantee supply of commodities.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development needs to boost agricultural restructuring, develop rural economy with new rural establishment and encourage enterprises to apply high technology into production.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism cooperates with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Industry and Trade to effectively realize tourism promotion through Vietnamese overseas representative offices as well as set up specific plans to overcome obstacles and difficulties in State management on tourism.

The Government also requests the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and Ha Tinh Province’s People’s Committee to clarify the responsibility of Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Company in causing sea-environment pollution and help local people recover manufacturing and production.
