The Government chief however noted that the bilateral cooperation in this field still remained modest in comparison with the two countries’ potential.
He took the occasion to speak highly of Gazprom’s investment in Viet Nam and pledged to support the giant’s oil and gas exploration and exploitation activities in the Southeast Asian country.
PM Phuc urged Gazprom and the local oil and gas group (PVN) to accelerate the implementation of the inked projects.
CEO Aleksey Miller said Gazprom and PVN have continued traditional cooperation over the past years, especially in exploitation activities in both Viet Nam and Russia.
The two groups planned to sign a memorandum of understanding on investment in third countries and an agreement on power generation in Viet Nam.
Gazprom will always be a reliable partner of Viet Nam, Aleksey pledged./.
