Director Nguyen Dinh Cung of the Central Institute for Economic Management made the above remarks in a recent interview with Investment Newspaper.
This is an opportunity for the PM to share and learn with the business circle because the Government is a partner of businesses.
Since he took office, PM Phuc repeatedly affirmed business circle is a driving force of national development, said Cung.
He added that the prompt directions of the PM following the hasty indictment by the People’s Procuracy of Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City against Nguyen Van Tan-a café owner-for “conducting business illegally” showed the Government chief’s drastic determination to improve the country’s business environment.
Tan opened hiss coffee shop in the district with business license scheduled to be granted on August 19 and a food safety certificate on September 29.
The shop was inspected by officers from the police station opposite twice for lacking such documents, leading them probing the case against Tan on September 25.
The case has largely attracted media coverage and public attention as it was a typical example of difficulties arising in the implementation of the new laws on enterprises and investment, Cung noted.
Following the PM’s directions, leaders of the People’s Procuracy of Binh Chanh District on Sunday morning granted the owner of the café shop the decision to stop all legal proceedings against him, closing the case in the public relaxed mode.
Cung said the Government gives prominence to safe business environment while people have the legalized right to business freedom, thus State agencies must strictly adhere to this direction.
State agencies must instruct citizens to comply with business laws instead of digging up violations as much as possible for punishments.
They must see businesses and citizens as their partners. This is also a key message of the Government for a safe business environment./.
