The PM made the statement at his reception for President CNN International Commercial Rani R. Raad on January 20 on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
PM Phuc suggested CNN coordinate with the Vietnamese ministries, agencies, localities and partners to popularize the image of its land and people, contributing to promoting the Viet Nam-U.S. Comprehensive Partnership.
Especially, the CNN and other foreign media will be welcomed to Viet Nam to report on crucial events of the APEC Viet Nam 2017.
Mr. Rani R. Raad affirmed that more images and news about Viet Nam will be available on channels, online newspaper and social network of the CNN in the future.

The same day, at a meeting with Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, the Vietnamese Government leader suggested the Facebook strengthen cooperation in developing the information technology sector in Viet Nam, especially in the fields of start-ups, information access by small and medium-sized enterprises, and social network trade development.
He invited Facebook leaders to join the APEC CEO Summit scheduled in November this year.
Facebook is closely coordinating with the Vietnamese side to launch projects to introduce the image of Viet Nam in a bid to ensure the success of APEC Viet Nam 2017, said Ms. Sheryl Sandberg.
She expressed her hope to support small and medium-sized enterprises to conduct business activities on Facebook. Currently, 78% of these businesses are using Facebook services for their businesses.

At the reception for Chairman of Standard Chartered PLC Jose Vinals, PM Phuc spoke highly of the bank’s business operations in Viet Nam and asked the bank to share experience with and assist Viet Nam’ commercial banks to operate at international markets.
