This is the first high-level official visit to China following Viet Nam’s 12th National Party Congress.
PM Phuc will also attend the 13th ASEAN-China Expo and the 13th ASEAN-China Business and Investment Summit in Nanning. Vietnamese products will be displayed in 250 pavilions, covering 5,000spm at the expo.
He is accompanied by Politburo member and Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Tran Quoc Vuong; Politburo member and Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh; Chairman of the National Assembly External Committee Nguyen Van Giau; Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung; Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh; Minister of Transport Truong Quang Nghia; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien; Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha; Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha; Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam; Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Chi Vinh; Secretary of Da Nang Municipal Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Anh; Chairman of the Ha Noi Municipal People’s Committees Nguyen Duc Chung among others.
The relationship between Viet Nam and China has maintained positive development momentum over the past time.
The two-way trade kept rising, standing at US$ 66 billion last year while China poured US$538 million in 127 projects in Viet Nam in the first half of 2016.
