PM Phuc arrives in Moscow

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his entourage on May 16 (local time) arrived in Moscow, starting his official visit to Russia.

The PM was accompanied by Deputy PM and FM Pham Binh Minh, Minister-Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh, among others. 

This is the first foreign trip of Mr. Phuc as the new Vietnamese PM.

The PM was welcomed by Russian Deputy FM I. Morgulov; Vietnamese Ambassador in Russia Nguyen Thanh Son, among others.

Within the framework of the visit, PM Phuc will hold talks with his Russian counterpart Medvedev; meet with Russian President Putin, Duma leaders to exchange views and seek measures to beef up the bilateral ties, particularly in trade, investment, military technique, energy, education and training.

The Government leader will attend and deliver a speech at the Viet Nam-Russia business forum and visit some Vietnamese economic sites in Russia.

As scheduled, PM Phuc will attend the  Commemorative Summit  to mark the 20-year ASEAN-Russia dialogue relationship from May 19-20 in Sochi ./.
