Gov't to convene series of national-level conferences

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has tasked ministries and agencies to prepare for a number of thermatic conferences on investment acceleration in agriculture, improvement of labor productivity, social infrastructure development at industrial parks, development of auxiliary industry among others.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Planning and Investment will organize three conferences on measures to attract businesses investing in agriculture and rural development (in March 2018), measures to improve labor productivity  and quality (in May 2018) and measures on social infrastructure development at industrial parks, processing zones and industrial clusters (in June 2018). 

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is tasked to hold three conferences on overall solutions to boosting exports (in April 2018), measures to enhance the development of auxiliary industry (in April 2018) and opportunities and challenges of labor intensive industries, especially garments and footwear in the fourth industrial revolution (in June 2018).

The Ministry of Finance will organize three conferences on the development of capital and financial market in the fourth industrial revolution, measures to promote the development of the National Single Window and ASEAN Single Window and trade facilitation attached to logistics development (in April 2018) and renovation and improvement of State-owned enterprises’ effectiveness, particularly State corporations and companies (in May 2018). 

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is assigned to prepare a conference on natural calamity prevention and control (in March 2018). 

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will hold a conference on solutions for accumulation and concentration of land to meet the requirements of large-scale agricultural production (in March 2018). 

The Ministry of Construction is tasked to organize a conference on tackling difficulties and obstacles on mechanisms and policies related to fundamental construction (in April 2018). 

The Ministry of Transport will organize a conference on logistics (in March 2018).
