Under the dispatch, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong requested prompt examination of news stories run by several newspapers regarding assets owned by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa and her family members.
PM Phuc also assigned inferior levels to promptly review related legal regulations and propose amendments in order to prevent wrongdoings and corruption during the process of equitizing State own-enterprises and report to him in the second quarter of 2017.
Earlier, several newspapers, including Nhan Dan (People) and Tuoi Tre (Youth) ran articles on assets of Deputy Minister Thoa that worth upto hundreds of billion dong.
In January this year, PM Phuc signed Decision No. 107/QD-TTg, giving the disciplinary measure of warning against Deputy Minister Thoa for her infringements in personnel work./.
