PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc asks for ensuring safety and warm reception for delegates to the 8th CLMV and 7th ACMECS summits and WEF-Mekong

PM Phuc reaffirmed the importance of the 8th Summit of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Viet Nam (CLMV), the 7th Summit of Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS), and the World Economic Forum on Mekong (WEF-Mekong).
The Government chief tasked inferior levels to ensure security, safety, smooth traffic management, street decoration, and warm reception for delegates during the events.
He also asked for creating all favorable conditions, including good internet connection for journalists.

The regional summits demonstrate the determination of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam in accelerating peace and prosperity in the region as well as their dynanism and capacity to grasp development opportunities.
Meanwhile, the WEF-Mekong will focus on economic connectivity, sub-regional integration and sustainable development.
As the host of the events, Viet Nam expects to contribute to enhancing practical and more effective cooperation among the member countries.
This is also an opportunity for Viet Nam to consolidate the traditional friendship and cooperation with neighboring countries as well as regional and international partners./.
