PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc made the statement while meeting with Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping in Beijing, China on September 13.
As the two neighbors, Viet Nam and China share common interests in maintaining peace, stability and cooperation for both sides’ national development causes, said PM Phuc.
Accelerating the stable, healthy and sustainable advancement of the bilateral ties is not only the shared responsibility of the two countries’ leaders but also an important factor for both national development in each country and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world, PM Phuc stressed.
Regarding measures to strengthen the bilateral ties, PM Phuc especially underlined the importance of enhancing political trust, consolidating and promoting the traditional friendship and cooperation.
Viet Nam expects to work with China to step up substantial cooperation and welcomes Chinese businesses to invest in the country, said the Government chief.
He also urged the two sides to control maritime differences well, comply with the agreements and common perceptions reached by their leaders, foster substantial talks, well implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea and strive for early signing of a Code of Conduct in the East Sea to make practical contribution to stabilize the situation for peace, cooperation and development.

PM Phuc took the occasion to invite Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi to pay an official visit to Viet Nam and attend the APEC leaders’ Summit in 2017.
Party leader Xi welcomed the visit of PM Phuc to China, emphasizing that it would help consolidate and enhance the two neighbors’ friendship and comprehensive cooperation.
The Party, Government and people of China always attach importance to developing relations with Viet Nam and stand ready to work with the Southeast Asian country to well control differences, satisfactorily settle disputes, and strengthen the Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in a stable, sustainable and increasingly deep manner, Mr. Xi said.
He also affirmed he will encourage high-tech and strong enterprises to investment in Viet Nam and collaborate with the country to address the remaining issues in the bilateral economic and trade ties./.
