The Government leader extended his special congratulations to shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh, who won both a gold and a silver medal at the Rio Olympics.
The PM also asked the sports sector to provide all possible support for athletes and coaches to improve their skills while effectively using the State funding.
He also required the Defence Ministry to help Colonel Vinh, who won the medals, to fulfill his assigned tasks in the near future.
At the reception, Colonel Vinh and other athletes promised to spare no effort to contribute to Viet Nam’s sports in the regional and global competitions.
On the occasion, the PM presented the Labor Order, first class, to Colonel Vinh.
The Labor Order, second class, was also awarded to chief coach of the Vietnamese shooting team Nguyen Thi Nhung, while the Friendship Order was given to Korean shooting expert Park Chung Gun./.
