In an interview granted to the national television on the same day, he said the Government will continue stabilizing macro-economy, beefing up economic growth and administrative reform, and creating more favorable conditions for the development of people and businesses.

The Government will continue encouraging start-up activities and freedom of creativity, enhancing discipline in the State administrative apparatus and the whole society, and taking drastic measures to fight corruption and wastefulness.

It will also resolutely and perseveringly struggle to firmly protect the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the nation.

In the short run, the Government will focus on stabilizing life of people in the areas hit by natural disasters, drought and saltwater intrusion, and ensuring food hygiene and safety.

Prime Minister Phuc called on the whole nation to join hands in building Viet Nam towards prosperous people, strong country, and democratic, equitable and civilized society.

He took the occasion to convey thanks to and expected more cooperation and assistance from foreign Governments, people, international organizations and friends around the world./.
