VN stops stockpiling medicines for 10,000 coronavirus cases

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has recently agreed to temporarily suspend pharmaceutical procurement for the worst scenario of 10,000 coronavirus cases in Viet Nam. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was asked to work with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Health, provincial and municipal authorities to repatriate Vietnamese nationals. Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh takes the prime responsibility for the mission. 

In addition, the Government chief also lifted the export ban on Covid-19 treatment medicines. However, relevant agencies must ensure adequate supply for disease prevention. 

PM Phuc also agreed on temporary suspension of supply of pharmaceutical drugs and materials to meet the demand for health care facilities and essential medicines to treat the potential number of Covid-19 patients.  

Earlier, the PM also abolished licenses for mask exports and lifted export ban./.
