Accordingly, the two countries will focus on strengthening cooperation in such pillars like politics, diplomacy, national defense and security.
The two countries will enhance experience sharing in developing policies to maintain macroeconomic stability and sustainable development, increase connectivity between the two economies, especially transport and energy connectivity.
The sides also agreed to strive to lift up two-way trade by 10-15% next year from the current volume of US$1.2 billion.
Both sides agreed to work together to develop a strategy for bilateral cooperation for the next decade and continue close collaboration and mutual support at regional and international forums.
The two leaders also pledged to join hands in deepening ASEAN cooperation and connectivity process while strengthening the bloc’ solidarity, centrality and common voice over regional strategic matters, including the East Sea issue.
They agreed to work together for effective and sustainable management and use of Mekong water resources.
Following the meeting, the two PMs witnessed the signing of several cooperative documents, including an agreement on cooperation plan for 2020 and another agreement on transfer of sentenced persons between the two Governments.
