PM greets French Ambassador

VGP – Viet Nam and France have shared the traditional ties and launched practical and effective projects in various areas, said PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

PM Phuc made the point on August 25 while receiving French Ambassador to Viet Nam Jean-Noël Poirier.

The host leader was convinced that the upcoming official tour of French President Francois Hollande would contribute to cementing and deepening the bilateral ties, especially in the context that the two sides are building the comprehensive strategic partnership.

According to Mr. Phuc, the economic sector is a pillar of priority in the Viet Nam-France strategic partnership. Especially, the Fourth High-Level Economic Dialogue in Paris in July showed that the two countries need to figure out key cooperative orientations in line with respective development.  

He applauded the cooperative fields which were suggested by the Ambassador on satellite technology, aviation, metro in Ha Noi, education, and culture.

For his part, Ambassador Jean-Noël lauded the fine bilateral ties over the past time.

The guest leader also believed that the upcoming visit of Mr. Francois Hollande would lay an important hallmark in the bilateral ties.

The Ambassador took the occasion to seek the host leader’s support for cooperative projects between the two sides especially in satellite technology, aviation, education, urban railway as well as environment./.
